You should not have to sit in an emergency room for a tooth. Farzad Dental keeps same-day appointments open at our Palmdale office on West Avenue Q, so patients across the Antelope Valley can get real dental treatment — not just painkillers — the same day they call.
Dental pain has a way of arriving on the worst possible day. Our Palmdale team keeps room in the schedule for exactly that, so you are not choosing between waiting a week and driving down the 14.
A hospital emergency room can give you antibiotics and something for the pain, but it cannot fix the tooth — which means a second trip and a second bill. We treat the actual problem: draining an infection, rebuilding a fractured tooth, re-seating a crown, or relieving the pressure behind a severe toothache. Dr. Philip Farzad and our team see urgent patients from Palmdale, Lancaster, Quartz Hill, Acton, Littlerock and Leona Valley.
Rinse with warm salt water and floss gently either side of the tooth to clear trapped food. Take your usual over-the-counter pain relief — but never hold aspirin against the gum, which burns the tissue.
Hold it by the crown, rinse briefly, and try to put it back in the socket. If it will not seat, keep it in milk and set off. The first hour matters more than anything else you do.
Keep any fragments, rinse your mouth with warm water, and hold a cold compress against your cheek in twenty-minute spells. Chew on the other side until we see you.
Facial swelling means infection, and infection spreads. Do not wait it out over a weekend — call us. If swelling reaches your eye or throat, or you cannot swallow, go straight to the ER.
Same-day access is only useful if the practice can finish the job. Our Palmdale office is a full-service practice, so an emergency visit can go straight through to treatment — a root canal, an extraction, a same-day crown repair — rather than a referral and another week of waiting.
We also treat the fear that often comes with the pain. If it has been years since your last visit, or if a previous experience put you off dentistry altogether, tell us when you call. Nitrous oxide sedation is available at this office, and nobody here is going to lecture you. Most PPO plans are accepted and we will walk you through the cost before we start.
