Smile design consultation for porcelain veneers at Farzad Dental in Encino

Porcelain veneers in Encino with Dr. Philip Farzad

Veneers are one of the most effective ways to change how your smile looks when several front teeth are chipped, stained, uneven or spaced apart. At Farzad Dental on Ventura Blvd in Encino (91436), Dr. Philip Farzad, a USC-trained, second-generation dentist, plans each case around your face, your bite and your goals.

A porcelain veneer is a thin, custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth. Because the shade, length and outline are chosen for you, a well planned set looks like a natural, healthy smile rather than obvious dental work. We also offer Lumineers, a minimal preparation veneer that needs little to no reshaping of the tooth for the right candidate.

Veneers are elective, so we start by checking that your teeth and gums are healthy. If something needs treating first, or if whitening, bonding or Invisalign would give you the result with less work on your natural teeth, we will tell you plainly.

We see patients from Encino, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana and Studio City. Comparing your options? Our guide on porcelain veneers vs. dental bonding explains when each one makes sense.

Good questions Veneers in Encino FAQs

Do you offer veneers in Encino?
Yes. Dr. Philip Farzad provides porcelain veneers and Lumineers at our Encino office at 16661 Ventura Blvd, Suite 815. Treatment starts with a consultation to confirm veneers are right for your teeth.
What is the difference between porcelain veneers and Lumineers?
Both are thin shells bonded to the front of the teeth. Traditional porcelain veneers usually need a thin layer of enamel removed. Lumineers are designed to need little to no preparation, but they are not suitable for every case. We will tell you which fits your teeth and goals.
How long do veneers last?
Veneers can last many years with good care, but no restoration lasts forever. Grinding, biting hard objects and skipped checkups shorten their life. A damaged veneer can usually be repaired or replaced.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
Veneers can make mildly uneven teeth look straighter. For true crowding or bite problems, Invisalign is often the better first step because it moves the teeth themselves. Some patients do both.
Does insurance pay for veneers?
Veneers are usually considered cosmetic, so most plans pay little or nothing. We accept most PPO plans, check your benefits for you, and offer CareCredit financing.
Should I whiten my teeth before getting veneers?
Often, yes. Veneer shade is matched to your other teeth, and porcelain does not change color with whitening. Whitening first lets us match your veneers to a brighter natural shade.
